We regularly issue press releases to publicise the release of our patient safety investigation reports. All our press releases are published on our website as news stories.
If you're a journalist and would like to be added to our press release mailing list, please email media@hssib.org.uk.
If you're working on a healthcare safety story and would like a comment or interview with one of our spokespeople, please contact the media team and we can advise on whether this is something we are able to arrange.
The patient case studies in our reports remain anonymous, and we are unable to share the personal details of patients and families with the media. We are also unable to share the details of the NHS trust(s) involved in our investigations or NHS staff interviewed during our investigations.
We respond to all reasonable media enquiries quickly. Journalists should always approach our media enquiries office in the first instance, as we are best placed to find you the information you need as quickly as possible.
Our media enquiries office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
The best way to contact our media enquiries team during office hours is to email media@hssib.org.uk. Alternatively, you can phone us on 07710 114191.
For all other enquiries please see the contact us page for the best way to get in touch.
If you have an urgent media enquiry outside of our office hours, please phone 07710 114191.
