Scott Hislop

Scott’s background is in aero systems engineering. He spent 28 years in the Royal Navy working on various aircraft in a range of engineering and project management appointments. He has held chartered engineer status since 2012.

He moved into accident investigation in 2014, working at the Defence Accident Investigation Branch as an engineering investigator focusing on the areas of maritime and aviation, before moving into healthcare investigation.

Having held a Deputy Director of Investigations role with HSSIB for several years he moved across to take on Head of Programme Design, a new role, to support the delivery of our Building Investigation Excellence strategy.
