Bukola Appau
HR Policy and Project Manager
Bukola is a human resource (HR) professional with extensive generalist experience across both the private and public sectors, including healthcare and the NHS. She joined the Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB) in April 2026 as HR Policy and Project Manager.
Bukola joins HSSIB from a primary care organisation, where she served as HR Manager, advising and supporting employees and managers on all aspects of employment law, HR best practice and HR policy compliance.
Prior to this, she worked as an HR generalist at an NHS arm’s length body programme, where she managed complex employee relations cases, led learning and development initiatives, and supported the implementation of HR information systems.
Her skills span a broad range of HR specialisms, including employee relations, policy development, performance management, recruitment, and learning and development. She holds a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in HR Management and a CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice.
Bukola is passionate about partnering with managers and employees to foster positive working environments and deliver organisational goals through effective people practices.
