1) DPIAs relating to patient safety referral handling and investigation triage.
HSSIB can confirm that it does not hold DPIAs in relation to patient safety referral handling and investigation triage.
2) FOI disclosure of HSSIB procedures for handling safeguarding-relevant referrals.
HSSIB has a standard operating procedure (SOP) for handling referrals, including safeguarding referrals. This SOP document is attached for your information. The SOP refers to two HSSIB policies using internal links and those policies are attached for your convenience (namely, the HSSIB Information Governance and Data Protection Policy and the HSSIB Safeguarding Procedure).
Please note that the Safeguarding Procedure is due to be updated in the near future, following plans to develop bespoke training for HSSIB staff in collaboration with NHS England safeguarding team.
