National collaboration

The Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB) contributes to national patient safety through involvement in various groups and processes, including:

We also collaborate with national organisations through presentations and discussions to share learning relevant to those organisations and their members.

Recommendations to Impact Collaborative Group

The Recommendations to Impact Collaborative Group developed from work commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care to increase collaboration and efficiencies in how safety recommendations made to the healthcare system are developed, made and implemented.

It was set-up in March 2023 and chaired by Dr Rosie Benneyworth, Interim Chief Executive at HSSIB.

The group helped inform Dr Penny Dash’s review of patient safety across the health and care landscape. It continues to be an integral part in the implementation of measures detailed in the review relating to recommendations.
